Two footnotes that matter
The January payment has an escape clause. Form 1040-ES states you do not have to make the 15 January 2027 payment if you file your 2026 return by 1 February 2027 and pay the balance in full.
Don’t trust a published ACA end date yet. The 1 November start is set in regulation. The closing date is currently in litigation and the available sources disagree, so we are not printing one.
What each of these actually asks you for
Estimated tax wants receipts and income records since the last payment. The FAFSA wants a tax return from two years ago, W-2s and 1099s, records of untaxed income, and bank and investment statements. Medicare open enrollment wants your plan card, the Annual Notice of Change that arrived in September, a prescription list and last year’s summary of benefits.
All of it is paper you already own and mostly cannot find. The work is not filling in the forms; it is the twenty minutes of looking that comes first.
NativeScan scans a document, names it after what’s on it, and files it — so the next time you need it, you can just search for it.
